Spectacular Views, but Not for the Faint-Hearted!
Valley of Rocks Walk-South West Coast Path的点评
点评：After taking the Cliff Railway up from Lynmouth to Lynton, the three of us decided to walk back down via the Valley of Rocks. It was certainly an adventure and one I’d recommend, provided you’re prepared for a fairly challenging descent.
The views along the route were absolutely spectacular. As you make your way down, you’re treated to stunning coastal scenery, and you cross two bridges that provide fantastic vantage points overlooking the Cliff Railway as it travels up and down the cliff. It made for some brilliant photo opportunities.
The walk itself, however, is quite steep in places and can feel a little daunting. There are sections where there isn’t a handrail, which made me feel a little uneasy, especially on the steeper parts. It’s definitely not a route for the faint-hearted or anyone unsteady on their feet.
I’d strongly recommend wearing sturdy footwear with good grip and taking your time. There’s no need to rush, and the scenery gives you every excuse to stop and admire the views along the way.
Overall, it was a memorable walk with some of the best views of our trip. As long as you know what to expect and take it slowly, it’s well worth the effort.
