Middle Farm的点评
点评：This complex is situated on the A27, about 4 miles east of Lewes and 7 miles west of Eastbourne, between the turnings to Ripe and Selmeston, and has a large car park along with other areas close to the other site attractions.
Whilst we went initially for the Farm Shop there is so much more on the site including a Cider Barn, Plants for sale, Animal Feed Store, Gifts, a Tearoom & for the more adventurous children there is an ‘Open Farm’.
The Farm Shop has food and products from local growers and farmers that they claim offers some of the finest selection of Sussex produce available. This was shown especially in their butcher’s section, which offered high welfare meat and local free-range poultry, and in their cheese counter selections, which offered a wide selection of local Sussex cheeses. Prices were, in both these areas, what one would be expected for what was on offer.
The Cider Barn visit is a must if you’re a cider lover; their claim in this cider-drinker’s heaven, with the option to taste, is to compare and buy from a range of over 100 draught ciders and perries with a further 200 in bottle. In addition, they sell British Mead and a host of local and British wines (still and sparkling) at comparable prices to those available in major supermarkets.
The staff, in the areas we visited, were professional, kind and friendly and actually went of their way in offering helpful advice.
