点评:I think many people know that Idaho is renowned for potatoes. They had license plates, back in the day, that said "Famous Potatoes". I'm surprised the local college isn't the Idaho Harvesters!
See... Idaho grows more potatoes than any other state and this museum is in the middle of potato country. At first, seemed a novelty, but...
The museum is a 1-story building which has the history of potato growing, how it ended up in the US, the start and growth of both french fries and potato chips, and machines used to harvest and plant.
There are play areas for kids including Mr Potato Head - of course!
There are several movies. The funniest is making experts in this area into comic book heroes. A couple small inaccuracies - for instance they say the first McDonald’s was in Iowa. It was in Illinois. I live in Illinois a few miles from it. But doesn’t detract from it all.
They have a small cafe where you can try different potatoes. We got adventurous.
Between the museum and cafe - we spent a little over an hour here.
