Our first visit here, and on a hot, sunny Bank Holiday Monday. Beautiful gardens, hidden shaded areas, and the fish! Oh the fish practically jumping into your hands if you approached the waters edge. With plenty of seating and lots to see it is a wonderful place to visit....with secret gardens, birds in an aviary, nesting birds, and a children's play area. Ideal for everyone. And you can even take a reminder away with you as you exit through the gift shop.

We decided to enjoy a light bite here to break up our visit. There was seating both inside or outside - in full sun or shaded areas. The menu was extensive and even included specials daily. We shared a fish finger sandwich, with an extra side of sweet potato chips....and while I had an iced chai coffee, and husband shared a just of blackcurrant squash. For all 6 in the party, with drinks under £80.. so while you can bring a picnic to eat in the gardens, it is not expensive to enjoy food and drink in the cafe.
