点评：This was an incredible experience. I got it as a birthday present.
Normally, I am nervous about these animal encounters as many companies only exploits wild animals. I didn’t feel we were intrusive with this trip.
We went out to the island by boat and jumped in the water a bit further away from the island. At first there were no seals around us. However, I quickly got distracted by the beautiful kelp forest and lots of fish. I was having a good time, and out of nowhere the first seal came to say hi. Then another and another. One was very interested in me and hubby. We just did our own thing and they came up to us. We spent about 30-40 mins in the water.
The organization was great, we were greeted, signed an indemnity form and while were waiting our wetsuits were prepared. Don’t be afraid to ask for a different size, if you are not used to cold water this can be a deal breaker.
You’ll get a west, wetsuit with hood, booties, gloves, googles and snorkel.
On the way back, there is water, biscuits and hot chocolate on the boat. I didn’t want anything else but water so I didn’t ask if the hot chocolate and biscuits are vegan.
On the booking confirmation, there is a mention about motion sickness tablets. We didn’t take any, because I don’t get sick on boats and it’s a short ride… that was a big mistake. You won’t need it for the boat, but snorkelling in the swell will make you feel nauseous. If it wasn’t for the nice cool water, I would have felt a lot worse. So I would definitely recommend tablets even if you normally don’t get sick.
