点评:We go here for a weekend every summer. The campground is nice and so are the trails around the beach. There are many shaded and private sites. There are also a variety of accessible sites (which not all campgrounds have).
There have been changes in the past few years that are not as great. Some changes that are negative: the cleanliness of the Bay 2 washrooms has gone downhill in recent years. In previous years, staff were coming to clean the washrooms every hour or two - now it looks like they only come once a day to clean it. It needs to be thoroughly cleaned more frequently with the amount of traffic going through there. The beach washroom also needs more attention than it was getting. You used to pay for a fire permit and then could get as much wood as you would like - now it costs $14.25 (or $14.50?) per bundle. The bundle is wrapped, though, which is good. Also, due to current regulations, the cruise boat is not available (it wasn't even docked on the pier this year). It was disappointing not to be able to do this activity. On their website, they say to contact Parks Canada about it not being in service, so I know they wish they could offer this but are unable. As well, you used to be able to get Beaver Tails by the beach, but now there are no snack offerings at the beach.
