黑风洞的点评
点评：Oh yeah, this is definitely the most overrated activity in Kuala Lumpur. In fact, it may rival Stonehenge and the Leaning Tower of Pisa as the most overrated point of interest in the world! And I've seen a lot of places in 82 countries! Oddly, every guide of Kuala Lumpur lists Batu Caves as a must-see locale. Believe me, it is NOT a must-see destination!
After dodging copious amount of pigeon feces, avoiding thieving monkeys looking for food in your pockets, and perhaps even braving the disgusting bathrooms, you'll trudge up 272 steps to see what? A cave containing a snack bar and a few things important to those of the Hindu faith. Yup, that's it. What a letdown! Of mild interest is the 140-foot-tall Lord Murugan Statue at entry to the stairwell, the tallest statue in Malaysia. But that doesn't require the 272-step ordeal. You could see that for free from the chaotic parking lot.
