点评:We learned that the Batu Caves are one of the best places to visit in KL and I can see why.
On arrival, it’s busy with people, and monkeys, and not instantly obvious where we needed to head first. Head for the giant golden standing Buddha and you’ll see a towering set of colourful steps. Can’t remember how many but it will get the heart racing and the sweat dripping. It’s worth it though, the view from the top is great.
The caves themselves, grand for sure, but a little underwhelming. There are a number of shrines and places to spend money on drinks and tat. Good place to watch people.
The decent was more enjoyable and allows time to take in the views.
Once at the bottom, go and see the giant fish in the pond. Buy some fish food and you might see it.
Overall, we as a family enjoyed the visit. Westerner women, make sure you cover shoulders and legs and respect the local traditions.
