丹嫩沙多水上市场的点评
点评：A massive let down and a clear tourist trap. We hired a boat only to be taken through garbage filled canals, from shop to shop where the boat driver, who clearly knew the shop owners, would stop and we were shown their wares. These are the same souvenirs you can buy anywhere else in Thailand but at higher prices. When my group politely declined, something was said in Thai and we moved onto to the next "shop". After a while, we hit the the main market, which was a little better, but clearly no longer local. Filled with tourists, more of the same continued, to the point where you can see tourists getting tired of the locals persistence. We did have a decent lunch there, with the lady cooking on a narrow barge, which was cool. Being shouted out with a finger in my face by the waitress was a little off putting.
All in all, skip this. It is very sad to see this place become a tourist trap, especially after I went there 25 years ago and it was still very local.
