点评：I don’t normally write reviews, but this was a special one… Having fished throughout US, Canada, and Mexico before, I decided to give Calypso a try with Ariel last minute. Throughout the entire trip Ariel was very accommodating with both my schedule and fish preference. I wanted to target something with a bill for this trip so we spent most of the morning and noon trolling with live baits. Unfortunately, the fish was not very cooperating, but Ariel was persistent and believed we still had a shot for the rest of the late afternoon with some luck so we gave trolling lures a shot on the way back home. Roughly half way to the marina, we had a screaming reel on a trolled skipjack. Set the hook, speed up the boat, and rod belts on, then the fight begins. Both Ariel and his mate communicated well with me especially when it comes to cutting lines near the motor and made sure I knew “this is not your typical Salmon fishing back home”. About roughly 2 hours into the fight, I was exhausted both physically and mentally. In the end we managed to get a 350 lbs Black Marlin into the boat as a team effort. Over the past 9 years of fishing, I have personally lost every marlin including blue, black, white, and striped all around the world. Fortunately, Calypso broke my losing streak and gave me a day that separates a “good day fishing” into a “legendary day fishing”. If you are looking to go fishing either it’s your first time or experienced like I am, I highly recommend Calypso and Ariel!
