A World in Miniature Museum的点评
点评：Having decided to visit the Museum on a trip up to Moffat I was not sure from the internet if it was still open. Therefore, having visited I thought I had best give a review to help others know it is still going.
Is in the downstairs of Houghton Hall Garden Centre, Houghton on the outskirts of Carlise, not far from Junction 44 of the M6. There was some debate about the feasibility of parking with a caravan but there is part of the car park which makes this very easy. (In this case Houghton is pronounced HOW-ten)
I had visited this Museum before when I think we had to pay, but I wanted to look at the Miniatures for inspiration as I was beginning to thinking about dismantling my doll’s house in order to make some smaller room boxes.
This time it was free and had there been more time the Garden Centre had a lot to commend it.
For my purposes, interest and zero cost warranted a five start review but the models on display really are excellent and there is a lot of craft and model stuff on sale in the shop through which you go to reach the Museum.
