点评:There are so many things to see at the Mary Rose exhibit. You've likely seen photos of the remains of the ship, but what you may not have seen are all of the artifacts brought to the surface showing life on a Tudor vessel in the mid 1500s.
Exquisitely preserved and conserved, these artifacts provide a story of day-to-day life on the ship. The sinking was obviously a terrible tragedy, but much like Pompeii it provides us a window into something we would not have seen otherwise. The museum goes to great lengths to immerse you in the experience and it is well worth seeing as part of a visit to the Portsmouth naval dockyard. I spent a week in Portsmouth and visited a different exhibit every day. I can't imagine trying to see all this in one day.
Highly recommended if you are interested in history, naval or otherwise.
