A beautiful and relaxing place to spend a few hours. The gardens are immaculately maintained, with clearly laid-out paths, a wide variety of trees and planting, and plenty of spots to stop and enjoy the surroundings. The café is a lovely bonus and a great place to pause mid-visit or at the end.
Admission fee:
Reasonably priced and good value for money, especially considering the size of the gardens, the quality of the planting, and how well everything is looked after.
Length of visit:
Allow 2–3 hours to explore at a comfortable pace, longer if you enjoy walking, photography, or a relaxed stop in the café.
Atmosphere:
Peaceful, spacious, and very calming. It feels unhurried and never overly busy, making it easy to enjoy the gardens at your own pace.
Crowd size:
Well spaced and not crowded. Even with other visitors around, there’s plenty of room to walk without feeling rushed or congested.
Staff:
Friendly and welcoming, both around the gardens and in the café. Staff were helpful and added to the relaxed, positive feel of the visit.
