点评：I don't know how we missed this in past stays, but I am glad that I found it this time. We visited on Sept. 28 and the gardens were still in great shape. Our GPS had some difficulty finding the entrance, but the sign was quite clear when we reached it on the road. There is a parking lot at the end of the drive.
One enters and pays at the cafe located adjacent to the lot. We didn't stop to have anything in the cafe, but there certainly were some delightful options near the pay center.
Once paid, you walk through a gate and along a macadam path to the walled garden. Walking through the gate was a sheer delight and the views from the inside were breathtaking. It certainly helped that the weather was accommodating.
In addition to the walled garden which is loaded with things to see, there are paths around the estate with a variety of specimens to see. There are information arrows in various places to help identify certain species.
The cost to enter was £7 per person, which seems a bit high to walk around a garden, but the funds go to the conservation of the grounds. And it is obvious that it takes quite a bit to keep it pristine shape. There are toilets in the cafe should you need them.
