点评:We stopped by here on our way to Red Lodge.
We like to visit these kind of sanctuaries not only to see the animals, but also to support the concept of providing a place where injured or orphaned animals can go and be cared for.
This isn't a large facility. probably a couple dozen cages and enclosures with animals varying from bobcats, wolves, bears, and quite a few raptors.
many of the animals were sleeping or hiding and since this isn't a petting zoo, that is to be expected. The bears were out as were the foxes, bison, among others, and we got a quick glimpse of the coyotes. we never saw the wolves or the badger. All the birds were out and visible.
there are placards at each animal enclosure explaining how that animal came to be housed at the sanctuary and how long they have been there.
it appeared they are making some upgrades to the enclosures.
