点评：We booked a VIP Cave Tour and Tasting in the Cave Grotto, 90 minutes for $60 per person. It was just the two of us; I suppose no one else had booked that same time. Our hostess was pleasant and knowledgeable about the history of Eberle Winery and its founder. We got the tour, which was fairly brief. There really isn’t much to see.
The tasting was held in a small grotto off the cave pathway. The description said food pairing so we had expected actual lunch-type food. Instead our hostess brought a charcuterie board (minus the meat) with the usual cheese and crackers, nuts and grapes. As she poured each wine, she did indicate what cheese we should eat with it, but that was the extent of the « food pairing ». For $60 each, I definitely expected more so that was disappointing for sure.
Our experience lasted about 75 minutes total. Unlike other tastings we’ve done here in Paso, there was no bonus pour(s) which go along way towards making you feel like you got more for the money. Overall we were underwhelmed by the whole experience. It was overpriced and underdelivered. Save your money and go elsewhere.
