Excellent stay in beautiful historic hotel.
Hotel de Bourgtheroulde的点评
点评：This is where to stay in Rouen. In the center of the old town area and walking distance to all the important sites. Excellent staff, valet, and reception who were eager to answer all of our questions. Our room was modern yet charming. The hotel decor and bar area are beautiful and a great place to relax after a day of touring.
Two minor things that I was not happy about, though:
1. We did not receive instructions on how to get our car onto the hotel street ahead of time. You have to have a code to get past the barrier and we were not even aware of that, and drove around looking for another entrance. I finally called the hotel and the valet was super nice and ran out to the barrier to help us. Apparently, they were supposed to email the instructions but never did. Make sure you know ahead of time how to get in!
2. Many restaurants are closed on Sunday and Monday evenings, the two nights we were there, so I emailed the hotel and asked them to make recommendations and reservations for us. One restaurant. the Gill Côté Bistro , was very good. However the other restaurant they recommended, La Couronne, was terrible. See my separate review of that restaurant. I mentioned to the hotel that their recommendation was bad but they said they have sent many people there and have not had any issues. Hmm. Please read the reviews before going to that restaurant.
