点评:A magnificent temple set in a breathtaking surrounding! Overlooking the majestic cliffs of the Deir-el-Bahari, the Temple is a masterpiece in architectural terms. Built in the 15th century BC, this Temple was unfortunately destroyed by Thutmose III who attempted to obliterate any references and memory of Queen Hatshepsut. The temple’s walls are covered with beautiful painted carvings depicting temple rituals, religious festivals, and the transportation of obelisks from the quarry to their destination in Karnak Temple. Hatshepsut’s expedition to Punt and her birth are also depicted. The inhabitants of this land, their dwellings, and surrounding environment are vividly recorded, as are the riches and exotic animals that the Egyptians brought back with them. A visit to this Temple is an enthralling unforgettable experience. The grandeur of the structure is very striking and impressive. The Temple is located on the west side across from the city of Luxor very close to the Valley of Kings
