点评:Timna Park is one of Israel’s most unique and breathtaking sites – a stunning combination of desert landscapes, ancient history, and fascinating geology. Located only about 25 minutes’ drive north of Eilat, it’s easy to reach and well worth the visit.
The park offers a variety of ways to explore: marked hiking trails, bike paths, and driving routes that take you directly to the main highlights. We drove through and could easily visit the Mushroom, Solomon’s Pillars, the ancient Mines, and the Arches. For hikers and bikers, the colorful canyons and desert trails reveal even more beauty, and guided treks into the Eilat mountains make for an unforgettable adventure.
There are also on-site accommodations available to rent, letting you experience the desert’s magic at sunset and sunrise — truly the best times to see Timna.
Tip: Timna is not part of the Israel Nature & Parks Authority, so even “Matmon” pass holders need to purchase a ticket. The park opens at 8:00 a.m., and entry before that is not possible.
A must-see experience in southern Israel — whether by foot, bike, or car.
