Avondale House & Forest Park的点评
点评：An overpriced, underwhelming experience! €6 to park, €16 for the tree top walk. €2 extra for the slide. €14 for the tour of the house and to cap it all €4 for a tea bag in a paper cup!
The tree top walk is seriously overhyped. It is a pleasant stroll up a ramp. You are not even particularly close to the tree tops. A walk on the ground among the trees is a much more interesting option.
The tour of the house was excellent, but not worth €14 per person. As a comparison, €18 would get you a ticket for Versailles Palace in Paris! Avondale is a modest country house and a lot of its rooms are not on display.
I would hesitate to recommend this attraction. I don’t think the park has been enhanced by the addition of the tree top tower.
It all smacks of a money grabbing venture.
If you do go, simply stroll among the trees. Head down to the river and walk along the bank. An altogether more pleasant and picturesque experience.
Oh and bring a picnic to avoid the overpriced restaurant !
