点评：This place is super special I try to go as often as I can as I'm living only half an hour away. Sitting and standing in the energy of this mighty beast is soul recalibration at it's finest. The cap is the reportedly the largest, in both size and weight, in Europe and I alway sit in a amaze that the ancestors put so much work and dedication into it's construction and 5,000 years later it still stands in awe and might.
It's never been excavated so it's the 'feel' of the place that gives room to make your own take on it. Obviously there is evidence from many other dolmen structures that these are burial sites and due respect to the soul or souls who rest there is a given.
I like to imagine it was tucked away amongst a forest and as it now sits in a vast open plane, it is open to interpretation how it once appeared to the ancestors. As a self professed dolmen hunter, many of these ancient structures are located within woodlands with a pathway tucked into the thicket. Like many other sacred sites there are marker stones along the path up and I like to imagine the field beside was once a dense forest.
Being a Portal Tomb, the veil is thin and if you are spiritually connected this is a place to unlock the personal and collective unconscious and tap into the wisdom of the ancestors through your dreams or meditation at the site. It plays a massive part of my healing and spiritual growth. It's a great place to unleash any burdens holding you or your loved ones down, it carries the weight so you don't have to kinda buzz buzz!
