点评：What a trip of a lifetime!!! The ONLY museum in the world where you can fly in no less than 12 WW2 planes! Amazing. The ONLY place you can fly in a Lancaster Bomber and Fairey Firefly! You can also fly in a Chipmonk, a C47 Dakota, a B26 Mitchell, Boeing Sterman, Canso, Tiger Moth, Noorduyn Norseman, North American Harvard, Beechcraft Expeditor, and a Fairchild Cornell. Even if you don't want to fly, this is one of the few museums in the world where you will get to see the planes up close and then get the pleasure of hearing them startup and take off before they fly overhead! Wait until you hear the Firefly and the Lancaster fly overhead. There is nothing like it.
They have lots of other planes in great condition to look at too, along with a restoration area and a really fun flight simulator! Great cafe where you can watch the planes coming in and out. And a new exhibit featuring real veterans telling their stories!
Cant leave a review without saying how friendly and knowledgeable all the staff are. They were the ones that made this trip for us. They felt like family by the end of the 2 weeks. We were genuinely very sad to leave. Special thanks to the super affable Marsha, Dave, and Liam, a very great pilot. Thanks to everyone there!. We will be back soon!
Seriously, what are you waiting for? Get down to the Hamilton War Heritage Museum as soon as you can.
