点评：What a fantastic few hours. I was particularly keen to get as close to the Lancaster as possible given its rarity, It was under maintenance and you could smell it as soon as you entered the building, it was almost as if it was alive with the hydraulic fluids and oils and so many of the panels removed exposing the engines. As soon as we were through the door Tom, one of the volunteers, approached us and we got talking, Tom really made our visit, he is so knowledgeable and passionate about the aircraft in the collection but in an anecdotal way that is really entertaining for everyone who is listening, even my wife enjoyed the conversation, we must have spent over an hour with him including a tour of the aircraft preserved outside. He also arranged for me to get as close to the Lancaster as he could given it was under maintenance. Tom made an already fantastic visit unforgettable, thank you.
