If you are looking for a great Ontario road trip destination, the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum is a must-visit for plane enthusiasts, Canadian war history, or just those who love well-done museums.
The museum is inside an airplane hangar at the Hamilton Airport.
Inside, you will find an array of exhibits relating to warplanes, pilots, mechanics, technicians, and military personnel. There are exhibits with equipment, tools, uniforms, and much more. You will learn a lot of history about the history of flight, including its connection to the area.
The coolest part of the museum is the AI-generated interactive videos of personnel – who tell you stories of their life and missions.
Have no fear, there are plenty of planes inside to enthral every visitor.
The Museum is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon, alone, or with the family.
They also have a great gift shop, featuring a variety of items, including clothing, games, toys, models, and even coffee from Lost Aviator Coffee Co – a place very close to our home.
