Amazing ATV experience in Denali, Fun for all ages.

点评：We chose the ATV excursion so that we could experience some of the Alaskan Interior up close. We were picked up right outside the Princess Denali Lodge right on time and enjoyed the short ride by a great bus driver who was funny and informative. (I forgot his name, but he had some good stories.) As soon as we arrived, we were given a safety lesson with video and demonstrations. Then the staff passed out helmets and rain slickers as it had begun to rain. The staff was very helpful making sure we had the right sizes and helped us put on protective gear on properly. We were divided into small groups and off we went.
Our guides were Wyatt and Dani. We started off at a great pace that allowed everyone to become more comfortable on the machines. After a short time, we stopped and Wyatt and Dani checked on our comfort level and offered advice. They were very professional and always put safety first.
I would highly recommend this excursion to anyone. We saw all ages. There were different types of ATVs.
DO NOT let weather be a deterrent. I can truly say the rain enhanced our experience. The large puddles were exhilarating to ride through and with the slicker raincoat they provided, only our ankles and shoes were wet. (see photo) Wyatt and Dani stopped and discussed plants, terrain, and had many other tidbits of information and pointed out good photo opportunities. They were engaging and answered our questions and worked great as a team. I felt very comfortable asking for a photo opportunity that wasn't a scheduled stop. We stopped at a creek bed and were given information on the rocks and soil in the area.
One highlight was the small cabin we stopped for a break from the rain and cold temperatures. We had a great discussion with some examples
of different animals footprints. It was shocking to see the size of the moose and grizzly footprints. (see photo) It was also interesting to hear that the local
high school students had built the cabin.
This was one of the top excursions we took on our trip and we always felt safe and we appreciated the attention and professionalism of Wyatt and Dani.
We wore several layers of clothes, gloves, and boots.
When we arrived back to the office area, we were met by several
other guides that quickly helped us out of our gear and we were able to get in the bus with little wait time and were returned right back to the lodge.
This excursion made our time in Denali a memory we were never forget. I will be recommending this excursion to anyone who asks and know that we felt very safe at all times.
