点评:Boyana Church, one of Bulgaria's UNESCO World Heritage sites, actually consists of three buildings. The eastern church was built in the 10th century and there's another church built in the 19th century, but it's the second one, built in the 13th century on the orders of the Bulgarian ruler Kaloyan, which is the most impressive. This building contains a stunning collection of medieval murals, including portrayals of St. John of Rila, King Konstantin Asen and Queen Irina. Sadly, there is very little signage in English, you're only limited to 10 minutes for your visit and you can't take any photos inside, which is why I can't share any photos of the murals. However, you can buy an English version of the guidebook, which includes multiple photos of the murals.
When we visited in early winter, there was hardly anyone, but if there's lots of tourists, you might have to wait to enter as it's quite a small site. It's also not that close to the city centre, so I recommend you take the opportunity to also visit the nearby National Museum of History.

我们去的时候是初冬,几乎没有人,但如果游客很多,你可能需要排队才能进入,因为教堂规模很小。它离市中心也不是很近,所以我建议您借此机会参观附近的国家历史博物馆。
