Came for swim and sauna, but difficult water entry

点评：The new combination of open water and sauna (dip only included in sauna price), drew me in. AA have a reasonable set up with changing/toilet facilities and outdoor cafe area. What's disappointing for this venue as a swimmer, is that the entry to the water is the poorest I have experienced in the UK, that includes lakes, lochs, reservoirs, rivers and basins (swam at more than 150 venues). The entry is an abrupt steep matted area. You have to bum shuffle in for control. On return you have to pull on the matting to pull yourself out. I've not experienced anything like this at other dedicated facilities which make it easier on entry, either by steps or a longer ramp into the water. It's an issue if you have a lower limb injury or condition (e.g arthritis), which is a shame as the cold water can help support these conditions. Additionally, the car park was in a poor state of repair with deep craters and potholes.
