点评：Havn,t returned since this visit. Since the Scamdemic , it's just not the best place to be. In summer it's a no go , rude staff in pubs like the Rum and Crab shack and especially The Union. In the Union expect a silly little Blonde woman to snap at you if you take a small table up lunchtime to enjoy a drink. Elsewhere don't bother, full of noisy kids taking up half the pub spaces with their parents . Places like the Union clucky with locals in the evening taking up the whole bar making it awkward to get served. The Castle needs bouncers (in St Ives!!!) , don't even bother with the Ferrets unless you want to be asked if you have a problem , by pissed local garbage. Pedn Olva , once a fine hotel now a limited rip off menu . Tregenna Castle still great though, albeit ruined one summer by fighting local golf club morons. Rum and Crab shack , once home of fab strong bottled beers now just average and nothing special drink wise. Pastie shops are a rip off, the fresh sandwich shop on fore street dismal and expensive "locally sourced crab" , yep from Tesco in a tin in two slices of bread 12 quid. It's now a victim of it's old popularity . People walking around aimlessly with nowhere available to go unless it's mid winter. Opposite the Castle a bar which is okay but pretentious , why can't I just pay as I order a drink? So I leave a tip with the bill at the end? I have visited many times but won't again , at least for a long time. Rudest place ever been , not only towards myself , but the way I hear bar staff talking to anyone without a Cornish accent. Maybe when your businesses fail one by one due to lack of tourists , you wake up
