Architectural Museum is a great days outing- No crowds

点评：The Architectural Museum is a gem you should explore. Situated in outer Tokyo this area displays an extensive range of real buildings that show the life and times of Tokyo citizens from 18 century till now. Beautiful restored single and double storey buildings in lovely realistic surroundings bring to life the creative Japanese architectural styles. A street representing the shops of 1900’s showing a totally copper clad buildings was a highlight.
About 1.5-2 hour out of Tokyo by train was also interesting but worth the time spent. Surface JL line train to Koganei-shi (on SS line) but you should take a Taxi about 15 mins ride to Architectural Museum- easier than bus about $15Aud. You need 2 hours plus to absorb the building and walk thru all the rooms. You can have traditional Tea service in a historical house as well. A great day outing that has no crowds!
