点评：Worth a three hour visit to explore in depth.
When you arrive at the entrance look for the government endorsed professional guides in light blue shirt with a badge. It’s worth the fee. This will cost INR1500 and tips are extra. For less than USD 20 you can get a lively and informative tour of the various sites of interest. Such as the harem, prison, soldiers’ quarters, administrative buildings, religious quarters and gardens. What I found truly amazing are the several acoustic spots where a shout/clap can be magnified as an early warning signal in case of intruders. Also there are the squatting toilets in the harem. The hot and cold water pumping system built for the luxuries of the court ladies.
My guide Mohamed is a true veteran - takes great phone pictures and also shares his knowledge and humor with aplomb.
This is an amazing monument replete with secret tunnels and traps to escape enemy attacks, Persian architectural marvels with strict geometric proportions and an engineering feat for its cut stones and acoustics long before the advent of telephones and computers.
