Don’t go to Torquay if you want a peaceful seaside break

点评：If you are looking for a nice peaceful break by the sea…Don’t go to Torquay!!
With a busy main road right by the beaches at the front all you can hear is traffic when having a nice walk along the front. The awful sounds of the fun fair blasting loud terrible music from each ride, had to put my loop ear plugs in every time we walked past it. Ruined the atmosphere! There was also hardly anyone on the rides. Why they put it there I don’t know, because you go to the seaside to hear the waves not that awful fair and garish lights.
Went for a walk into the town centre, so run down and grubby! It is a shame, I remember going as a kid and don’t remember it being this bad. I wish we had checked reviews before we came but as I had been as a kid I did not check.
Lots of loud chavvy people walking about and shouting, why do they always have to shout! Maybe they could not hear each other over the sound of the god awful fair!
The harbour is not too bad and it does look lovely at night with all the lights. The fish and chip shop portion sizes were classed as a large and you got like 10 chips, over priced and underwhelming. It is safe to say we will defiantly not be going to Torquay again.
