点评:This was a highlight of our visit to Osaka.
Visitors have the opportunity to get dressed into kimonos. As we were 2 of the first 100 visitors we were not charged.
I suggest that visitors double check this freebie prior to going. Anyway it’s a marvelous experience. Re-created
is a mid 1800s city (Osaka) street. One walks through the extensive exhibition passing store fronts that imagine both retail and stepping into residential spaces. There is also the” Las Vegas like” experience where the lighting changes so one goes from daytime to evening. This is truly a “ Living” experience.
The museum is adjacent to an arcade which was not touristy, the majority of those shopping were Japanese. We enjoyed a very reasonably priced and delicious lunch at one of the numerous restaurants located in the arcade-sorry but I didn’t note the name but it was a random choice. I recommend planning on a minimum 60 minutes visit to the museum.
