点评:This temple is easy to access-a short walk from exit 1 of the Keage Subway station and taking a short cut through the brick Nejirimanpo Twisted Tunnel. Nanzenji's central temple grounds are free to enter. Behind this gate is the Hatto (Dharma Hall), a large lecture hall which cannot be entered by the public. On the right is another garden with the brick aqueduct. Going up the staircase to the top of the aqueduct, one can see the water flowing vigorously along it. Following the aqueduct leads to the power station. After the station is a serene, small park called Keage Sosui Park with some seats and a statue of Tanabe Sakuro: the person in charge of the construction of the Lake Biwa Canal. Soon, I reached the top of the Keage Incline with the replica of the boat on the trolley which used to travel along the disused incline cargo railway with a height difference of 36 m. Further up is a bridge suitable for viewing the tunnel of Lake Biwa Canal. Canal No 1 is easily seen with the nearby pump station. Canal No.2 is less visible and both flow from Lake Biwa to Keage through long tunnels. Merging in Keage, No.1 and No.2 flow into the Keage Power Plant. From here , I walked down the Keage Incline to the mid-way point where there is another replica of the boat on a trolley. This is a good place to exit to go back to Keage Subway station.
