The Ovens Park的点评
点评：We camped at the park for 3 nights in August. The campground is rustic with small sites, however the view of the Lunenburg Bay is beautiful. This campground has the most beautiful sunrise!
The trail to the caves was partially closed while we were there, I assume due to the fire ban and the province not allowing people to walk in the woods. The trail was an easy walk, however, there are a lot of stairs to get to the caves. We did not pay the additional money to pan for gold, so I can not comment on that.
There is a pool available to use between the hours of 12:00-5:00. The pool was clean, but it was not heated.
When we booked, we booked a 30 amp site and expected we would have been able to plug our 30 amp cord into a 30 amp outlet. We were on site 318 which has a 30 amp breaker with a 20 amp outlet. The office provided a 15 amp converter for us to use while we were there. On top of this, the spout for the water was leaking and spraying water onto the electrical outlet. While we were concerned, fortunately, this set-up did not cause us any issues. We were not the only site with this electrical setup.
Site 320 is a 3 way site, however the opening for the sewer was so small that no one was able to dump, as the normal sewer hoses did not fit.
One of the evenings we were there, we must have spotted at least 15 deer close to the park, which was pretty neat.
