Interesting Mounds Lacking Context
Dilmun Burial Mounds的点评
点评：We visited the Bahrain National Museum the day before and they had a large and informative exhibit about burial mounds so we knew what to expect. Coming here without that context and lack of signage would make these seem a bit uninteresting.
We went to the A'Ali and Sar burial mounds area to the south and spent a few minutes here to check it out. It is impressive how many mounds were in the area and there seems to be hundreds. There is a pullout on avenue 38 if you want to stop and take a look. We drove by the Dilmun area as well and it is interesting with context but the area didn't have much signage considering it shows up on the guide map we picked up at the airport. If you want to check these out we would recommend going early in the morning or in the cooler months to avoid the heat. The area is free to enter and there is some parking.
