点评：Quseir Amra is one of my favorite desert castles, even though technically was not a Castle but a hunting lodge. This is my third visit in over 35 years. Not much has changed except for the amenities nice restroom and walkways that allow you to walk around Quseir Amra from afar to appreciate its design and footprint. Back in the day it had simple fence with barbed wire, no bathroom and a caretaker that appeared to pop out of nowhere:) . This is one of the 3 castles most visit on a day trip from Amman.Built for an Umayyad Caliph as more of a retreat, it has beautiful artwork and murals. Has a Turkish bath in it. It is the one castle you should take your time looking at the artwork as it gives you a good taste in how lush the area looked before the Ottomans deforested the region. We had a tour guide which helped.
