Jorebangla Temple的点评
点评：Extremely wel-maintained. One of the three temples that are covered by the INR Rs 25/-ticket purchased at the Rasmancha entrance.
Better to hire a Toto than take your own car. Toto stands are conveniently situated outside all major Lodges and hotels. Ours charged us INR 200 an hour. We dawdled a lot! But even then, we saw most important places in 3 hours.
The sanctum sanctorum is not accessible but one can spend hours taking in the stories that the terracotta tiles tell. Hiring an accredited guide to point out the stories (from epics such as Ramayan, Mahabharat or life of Krishna and Buddha to tales of Portuguese gunmen and animal hunting/falconry.) is a good idea. In Bishnupur, they have painted the names and phone numbers of accredited guides on the walls outside major tourist spots. So, no tourist is scammed. I have attached the photo with the names spelled out in English for those who do not read Bangla. Our guide charged us INR 800 or so...hourly rates. They have cards proving identity and also rates etc..
The architecture shows two fused traditional thatched huts or Bengal-cottages.

We went there when the light was not quite right for photography. More experienced tourists later suggested we come in the morning AND the evening to catch the temple at its best. Unfortunately, we could not do do.
