Wish we had seen more but glad we went

点评：We researched which safari in Jaipur to do and this one offered the possibility of seeing the most animals, with a wide variety of wildlife and 35/40 leopards so we had very high hopes. Arrival was pretty chaotic, our hotel car pulled up at the gates and nobody seemed to know what we had to do - thank goodness we were in air conditioned vehicle. Eventually our driver was told to enter through a gate, we then had to drive along a vey rough track to a parking area, again to a little confusion. Eventually we were introduced to our guide and waited for a driver to show us to our vehicle. There were 4 of us and we chose to pay for a vehicle just for our group - a little more expensive but worth it. We then got held at a checkpoint asking for passports - our hotel had assured us this wasn’t necessary, but seems it might be. So at least have an image to hand on your phone. The safari area is large but unfortunately we saw very little - our driver had very good awareness and managed to point out some baby owls and some hares, but none of the many animals we had been expecting to see. In fact we were getting so disappointed, over two hours and nothing we couldn’t see at home. Jeep after jeep was passing with everyone being despondent. And then, with 9 minutes of our allotted time left the call came out to head back to a watering hole. And behold, a juvenile leopard appeared for a short while to drink. I wish we’d seen more, but 1 leopard is still one leopard!
