点评：A visit to Jorasanko Thakur Bari is like stepping into the life and legacy of Rabindra Nath Tagore, as this is the very place where he was born and also spent his final moments.
The complex is quite large and impressively well maintained, allowing visitors to explore different sections comfortably. There is an entry fee and an additional charge applies if you wish to take photos using your Mobile.
The most powerful part of the visit is the nostalgic feeling you experience while walking through Tagore’s rooms, seeing his personal belongings, paintings, books and glimpses of his family history with Rabindra Sangeet playing on the backdrop. It’s truly feels special to stand in the space of a Nobel Prize winner and absorb his legacy.
However, what feels missing is a detail portrayal of his childhood and younger years. The collection of his paintings is limited and also his literary works, his books are no where to find. It’s a request to the concerned authorities to work upon it and should provide a dedicated section for this.
Overall it’s a worthwhile visit, especially for those who are interested in history and literature.
