Theatre fab, food rubbish and rip off drinks !
Kilworth House Theatre的点评
点评：Well we have just come back from an overnight stay at Kilworth House hotel, the hotel itself is beautiful as are the grounds and the theatre show of Grease was amazing ! I have been before and that show was fabulous too !
However the drinks are a rip off, £14.40 for an expresso martini and if u wanted a glass of wine (250ml) that was £12.00.
We also had the pre theatre lunch which was 3 courses with coffee and 1 petit four….the first course was a tossed salad with prawns and crayfish, not prawns, shrimps like you get at the seaside in the tubs and 1 little piece of lettuce…… the main course was meant to be sea bass with a herb crust, nope that was soggy skin with a green powder over it with a dried up potato cake and cabbage that hadn’t been cooked, so bitter.
The pastry on the chocolate tart was undercooked, u could taste the flour.
We had also booked to eat later that evening, I had the soup which I returned as it was cold, the beef shin ravioli was just 4 small pieces with a “foam” of cheese with mushrooms, more like a bowl of cream and having to find the ravioli…that starter was £14.50 the main course of chicken ballotine was tiny about 2 inches long with peas we ordered a selection of seasonal veg as a side dish but that was in-edible, a cabbage leaf of some sort and something I don’t even recognise which was disgusting, not a sniff of broccoli, green beans or carrots, £16.50 for that.
Breakfast was nice so I think that must of been a different head chef but I would definitely go to the theatre again but I would not eat or stay in the hotel, poor food and so over priced.

我们还预订了当晚晚些时候的餐点，我点了汤，但因为冷了就退了。牛腱馄饨只有4小块，上面覆盖着一层奶酪蘑菇泡沫，更像是一碗奶油，还得找馄饨……那道开胃菜要14.50英镑，主菜鸡肉卷很小，大约2英寸长，上面放着豌豆。我们点了一些时令蔬菜作为配菜，但根本不能吃，还有一片卷心菜叶和一些我不认识的东西，味道很恶心，一点西兰花、青豆或胡萝卜的味道都没有，那要16.50英镑。
早餐不错，所以我想一定是换了主厨，但我肯定会再去剧院，但我不会在那里吃饭或住酒店，食物很差，而且价格过高。
