We rented a camper for about three weeks and encountered several serious technical issues:
- The bed was only partially usable for over 9 days.
-For more than a week, essential systems (fridge, shower, toilet, lights) did not work due to a faulty battery.
-On the last 2 days, the RV became completely undriveable – we had to organize alternative transportation ourselves, including two instances of hitchhiking and a train ride.
For each issue we had to visit a repair shop during the trip, which caused further delays and inconvenience.
Despite contacting customer service multiple times, we received no proper response to our formal complaint. Our follow-up messages were ignored, and we were ultimately forced to involve a formal dispute resolution body to pursue our case.
Eventually, we noticed a partial refund was issued without any explanation. This amount merely covered the transportation costs and some of the direct expenses caused by the vehicle’s failures.
Customer service and post-trip handling were highly unprofessional. Sadly, we cannot recommend El Monte RV based on this experience.
