Loved the site - disappointed with the accommodation.

点评：The site is stunning and well laid out with lots of wildlife, but we were very disappointed with the accommodation. Stayed at Lodge 17. It was basic to say the least with very little equipment - ok if you don't mind getting out of bed to turn off the lights as there are no bedside lights, moving a chair from the living area into the bedroom to put your clothes on at night, having only four seats at the dining table for a van designed to sleep 6/8 people and no cleaning materials/equipment of any sort apart from one small dustpan and brush.
The main living area was positioned in the centre of the lodge with small windows so that it was not possible to view the beautiful surroundings unless you were outside. Notices around the lodge didn't help - you open the wardrobe door to be told not to remove the coat hangers as they belong to the site! Other notices outlined rules and the draconian consequences if these were not followed.
On a more positive note the reception staff were welcoming and helpful. They took our complaints seriously, but then informed us that as the lodge was self catering nothing extra could be provided. Anyone choosing to rent a lodge needs to be prepared to take or buy just about anything extra they need. We ended up buying towels/teatowels/washing up liquid/dishcloths/loo rolls/kitchen rolls/cleaning fluids etc. etc.
The site is lovely and we would consider going again but would chose the type of accommodation with greater care. Some of the vans near the entrance had lovely picture windows to enjoy the spectacular scenery.
