点评：During our stay in Montepulciano for a month, we have had the chance to visit many wineries for tastings. This small family run winery in the hills a short walk outside the walls of Montepulciano is now one of our favorites. They focus on producing quality with their small 12 hectares, seem to provide extra aging compared to many others. Their patience and passion is obvious, and for us the Messagerio and Damo (both Nobile DOCG) and the Santo stand tall compared to the much larger wineries in the region. It helped knowing in advance they only have bread stick and water, while many other wine tastings provide the option of cheese, cold cuts or even meals from a kitchen. In our opinion, the tasting experience would be even better to have some local meats and cheeses for the Rosso and Nobile, but the quality is still apparent without. It is a little bit out of the way, but worth the trip.
