点评：Don't waste your money! I went on what was supposed to be a festive trip to Newcastle on a train pulled by the Flying Scotsman from York. According to the promotional material we were to have 3 hours in Newcastle to enjoy the Christmas markets. On the day the timings had changed leaving only 2 hours planned in Newcastle. In reality we spent 2 hours sitting in York, not leaving till 4 pm, half an hour after we should have arrived in Newcastle! By then it was dark so we could see nothing of the engine or the views on the journey. As soon as the train arrived in Newcastle the Flying Scotsman was detached and the train left to return to York pulled by a diesel locomotive, leaving no time in Newcastle. It was almost impossible even to get a picture of the engine as the platforms in both York and Newcastle were crowded with non-travelling sightseers who had come just to see it. We'd had enough by then and paid for tickets on a fast train home. An expensive waste of a day.
