UK Railtours - Day Tours的点评
点评：We went on flying Scotsman Christmas tour up to Newcastle. When I saw this advertised, it originally said that it would leave Peterborough by steam train up to York. Then the flying Scotsman would be coupled up, then onto Newcastle for 3 hrs around the Christmas market.
I booked this as part of my husbands Christmas present, it cost £350 pounds.
We then gets a message due to network rail it wouldn’t be leaving Peterborough until 10.20 and there would only be 2hrs in Newcastle, bit disappointing but could live with that.
But when we got to York they had issues with the coupling of the flying Scotsman, we sat on York platform for 3hrs at 4 o’clock my husband and myself decided to get off and go around York market, as if it did get moving we wouldn’t be stopping in Newcastle 😤.
Paid another £74 to get back to Peterborough, and to top it off the man in the ticket office, said that it was only the roof that was the original on the flying Scotsman.
So the day was a total disaster and very disappointing, and we was offered £40 in total back from us tours a total insult.
I would not be going on any trips with this company anymore.
