点评：Started at the top end, Wyedale Car park. At about 3.30 pm.
I thought this was the start of the trail, but it isnt, its a potholed single track road to the bike hire place at Blackwell Mill. From the hire shop you have to push your bike up a quite steep bank to get to the trail. After that it pretty plain sailing with decent crushed gravel compacted well surfaces.
Its around 8.5 miles long, but it took me over an hour as there were so many people about. Quite a lot to see along the way, but not really a relaxing ride as you are constantly trying to avoid people who are wandering along in a world of their own, as they have every right to do. The plentiful tunnels are not very well lit, so extra care is needed, they are also chilly.... especially in early June.
Left for the return ride at about 4.50. MUCH quieter on the way back and much more enjoyable.
