点评:We visited this large complex as part of a tour group which meant we had a guide who could explain some of the wonderful history of the place and give us some context. And point out interesting features we may otherwise have missed.
The architecture is wonderful and there are photo ops galore. Buildings include the main residence, pavilion of Napoleon lll, King Norodom's stupa, King Norodom's statue, and the wonderful temple of the emerald Buddha.
As with many large complexes, not all buildings are accessible as one would expect. However, the temple of the emerald Buddha can be entered and I would encourage everyone to do this . Hats and shoes removed, knees and shoulders covered. 1,000+ statues of Buddha from small to the large golden and diamond encrusted one. And also the so-called emerald Buddha which may or may not be emerald (probably not). And look at the silver tiles on the floor. Amazing.
A must do if you're a tourist in Phnom Penh.
