点评:Me and my girlfriend were in a cafe in Connaught Place, Delhi and a random guy who had a friend with him started a conversation with us and asked us where we were going. After telling him we were going to Rajasthan he recommended us to rent a private chauffeur to tour Rajestan for 12 days instead of taking the train from city to city, which according to him could be done at this tourist office. We just wanted to hear them out, so we went there after he showed us the way. The person there composed a compelling story about how all train tickets were unavailable, that the bus is bad and that we should take a private chauffeur instead.
He said a chauffeur would cost 70k rupees for a small car, which is a ridiculous amount as a fair price is around 45k rupees when researching standard prices. We took time in another cafe to compare it to using the bus, which came down to 7k rupees (better for budget travel). While in the cafe another guy sat down next to us, whom I happened to recognize as the friend of that random guy from earlier. He also started making conversation and asking what we were doing and then tried to convince us to go for the chauffeur.
This all felt like a massive scam, which it was.
Basically they are all in on it together, using psychology to try to get unknowing tourists to pay way too much money for a service.
