点评:With a "greatly imposing" exterior of this fort, my initial thought upon arrival was how long it would take to get done the fort grounds inside those huge walls, but getting done in a "reasonably-brisk pace" once arrived inside on the fort grounds was: first on the "left side" and going up the "outdoor stairway" (at pretty much near the far end of the grounds) for like an overview of the entire fort; then coming back down and heading across the grounds to the "right side" where yes along with a number of building remnants & such (including some small "indoor parts" to go in & out from the outdoors) is this "main structure" of the Fort "still quite awesome" in my opinion (although yes including some parts with crumbled walls & only foundation remains but overall still a "formidable-looking" structure I would say) where I went up to its "top terrace" followed by another high-part also above the same structure (for a nice all-around view encompassing both the small town of Bahla "among many palm trees" & the parts beyond the town stretching to some distant mountains and actually including some not too far away just outside the town); and lastly the way back to the "left side" and entering some significant-sized indoor areas (where there were also some "info displays" seen although yes pretty much next to none of such displays at this site overall!).
On my "3-stop private day tour" (with just the driver in his taxi), this site was preceded by the Nizwa Fort (about 2 hours from Muscat and from which about half an hour to here) and followed by the Jabreen Castle (pretty much in the same area at just like 10 to 15 minutes from this fort) with also "structural tops" (kind of similar to here) to go up at both of those sites and yes where actually nicely seen were these "colorfully-furnished rooms with carpets & cushions" (a contrast from this site where yes the indoors are "empty spaces" with very few exceptions).
