Iowa Aviation Museum & Hall of Fame的点评
点评：My husband and I stopped at this wonderful gem of a museum on our way home from Colorado. When we first arrived, I thought it was going to be fairly quick visit as it looks non-descript from the outside. As soon as you open the door and walk in, you will be amazed with all of it! The lady there was so knowledgeable. The amount of information and artifacts blew us away. In the first area they have authentic books, pictures, clothes, and such that you never look at the same things twice. Then we went through the door into the hanger and were "wowed" by all the planes that were on the ground and hanging. We could actually touch the planes (but not climb on or into the planes), this made the experience even better as my husband could actually show me and point things out at the same time!! The volunteer lady did not crowd us at all, but came around every now and then and she and my husband shared avaiation history. The Iowa Aviation Hall of Fame was through another door in an air conditioned room. This was equally as amazing as the rest-so much history and people were given notice here. They have a small area that has books and media that you can purchase for a donation, which we did as our son is an Aviation mechanic. As we were finally leaving the hanger section and walked back into the front area, we picked up some souveniers before we left. We walked back out the front door almost 4 hours later! Truly this place is a hidden gem, we would not have thought to have enjoyed the visit as much as we did. This place is also very handicapped friendly and had many places for my husband to sit and rest as I looked around.
